The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Actor Alexander Sharp' also won best actor for a play - performing this demanding role of a 15yo Genuis Christopher John Francis Boone knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. BEST NEW MUSICAL - "FUN HOME"

"Fun Home" songwriters Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron have made history by becoming the first female writing team to nab a Tony Award for best musical scoreon Sunday at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

Based on the autobiographical graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, "Fun Home" centers on a woman growing up in the family funeral home in a small Pennsylvania town.

The last time two women were even nominated forTonys as composers was back in 1991 when Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman got the nod for "The Secret Garden." NYT

Best Revival of a Play SKYLIGHT

Skylight was awarded best revival of a play at the Tony Awards on Sunday night.

The production beat out The Elephant Man, This Is Our Youth and You Can’t Take It with You to win the honor.

Skylight, directed by Stephen Daltry and starring Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy, was nominated in a total of seven categories, including best actor in a play and best direction of a play. (HR)

Best Revival of a Musical "The King and I"

A big, scrupulously detailed 19th-century ship glides toward the audience in the opening moments of Bartlett Sher’s resplendent production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The King and I,” at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. It’s an impressive sight, worthy of every “oooh” it elicits. But its presence wouldn’t count for nearly as much if it weren’t carrying such precious cargo. (NYT)
